Can other classes use thieve's tools\skills? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-09-04, 01:08 PM Is there anything in the rules that says other classes cannot pick locks if they have the skill points to do so?

I know this is an easy answer but I'm not too sure.

I basically have a 3 character party in my campaign and no rogue in the group. Of course the fighter in the group has chosen to sacrifice some skill points in Rogue skills so he can perform some rogue tasks without becoming dual classed.

03-09-04, 01:19 PM Yes, no problem. In fact anyone with ranks in Open Locks SHOULD have a set of Thieves' Tools. :D

However, in different campaigns it might be difficult for non-Rogues to obtain Thieves' Tools.
