Nephlite 03-31-06, 12:27 PM	I heard that a wildshaped druid can't benefit from animal buffs. Why is that? New errata. Now the Druid keeps his type and doesn't gain animal subtype. It was a reaction to fear Druids may be too strong.
danielinthewolvesden 03-31-06, 12:34 PM	WotC folks aren't stupid. They read the boards here, play the game, and so forth. Threads- especially well thought out :D threads like: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=369436 get their attention. In fact, I had compliments on this from WotC folks. They Nerfed three of the most powerful cleric self-buff spells, as they realized that with some buffs a cleric could outshine a fighter (for a combat or two). They still can, but it's harder. They saw that Wildshaped druids were WAY too powerful, and make these changes. Great. Now, they have to Nerf the Wizard a bit, and the "top three" will all have been scaled down a notch or two. (Please? :D )

PhoenixRajoNight 03-31-06, 03:14 PM	Yes, If that were the case then the druid couldn't transfer at all. All it is saying is that you aren't considered to be that type when you change into it, so you wouldn't gain or lose hp's as well as ability points or special abilities or extrordinary abilities, the feat Exalted WildShape however says you gain the sepcial abilities.Basically they said hey you don't gain this automatically, but you can still have it with a feat.
