I am looking for an official knight prestige class that does not have to deal with mounted combat. Most knight prestige classes suck because you either have to have mounted combat or alot of allies. It makes it seem like if a knight doesn't have a horse or back up he can't handle himself. A knight should represent a true battle to the death scenario where it is one on one and he is a good match for his opponent.

Isn't that what a knight is traditionally all about, a mounted warrior and a social station?

What you're asking for is a traditional duelist (not the swashbuckling kind).

Well, you can just be a normal fighter and call yourself a knight...

There is also the Knight Protector from Complete Warrior, and the many "Knight of XXX" classes from Dragonlance.

Anointed Knight (CW)

I really like the class.

You need a charisma of 18 to really utilize the class though. (It goes well with paladin and they charisma synergys)
