Can't Decide... [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-30-03, 09:05 PM I'm makeing a char, but I can't decide one the PrC I want to use. I only want to use one. It's a tie up between an outlaw of the Crimson road or a dread Pirate. I know they both are similar in abilitys and the things they do and that's why I'm haveing such a hard time. Any advice?

12-31-03, 10:11 AM If you plan on going out to sea, the Pirate is a much better choice, if you stay on land, I think the Outlaw of the Crimson Road will be slighlty better.

12-31-03, 12:17 PM It depends on what happens. You can get both classes more or less at the same level, but if you travel by land more you probably would want to be OotCR, as his skills while still much like the dread pirate, are more rounded. But if you are on the sea a lot, take go for the DP.:ayyyy!:

12-31-03, 12:20 PM That's just the thing, we will be going about equal amounts of land and sea. The pirate would be nice to have to do better when where crossing oceans, but the outlaw is good for staying on land.

12-31-03, 12:24 PM If that's the case, I say you should be the pirate so you're group can be well rounded. The fighters and barbarians should be able to protect you pretty well on land. Of course, either way would work well.
