I'm trying to come up with a mage-hunter type character for a Living Greyhawk campaign. The character will be able to use magic, but only to enhance melee or to negatively affect casters.

Please give me any ideas or suggestions for this build! This is what I have so far... Feats I'm taking in (), abilities in [].

Fighter 1 (W. Focus Short Sword, TWF, Lightning Reflexes)
Hxb 1
Hxb 2 [Arcane Resistance] (Improved Init)
Hxb 3 [Mettle]
Monk1
Monk2 [Evasion] (Dive for Cover -- gives an extra reflex save if you fail first, end up prone)
Hxb 4
DragonDisc 1
DragonDisc 2 (Point Blank Shot)
Occ. Slayer 1 [+1 saves vs. magic]
Occ. Slayer 2 [Spell turning 1/day]
DragonDisc 3
DragonDisc 4

In the end, It'll net me:

Almost full BAB, Evasion, Mettle, +Cha bonus on magic saves, +1 bonus on magic saves, Turn 1spell/day as per Spell Turning, +2AC, +4Str, 2d8 breath weapon, some other stuff.

My saves will be +10/+10/+13 by 13th level (base), with +4 on all saves vs. spells (+3 CHA bonus, use with mettle/evasion), and two reflex rolls for evasion (from Dive for Cover).

Without dipping into a prc with SR (I think there are some?), I think that pretty much makes me as strong vs. magic as I can be. I also like the spell turning 1/day... I'll have a few Hexblade spells, but nothing of note.

I'm dual-wielding short swords, and will probably take some archery feats.

Suggestions? LG is a long-progression game, so I'm trying to keep this useful at every level without saying "Wait until I get to level 13! I'll kick your butt!"

This is exactly the kind of thing the character op boards does. You may get some advice here but I would swing the thread over that way for the fastest result.

Genius! I had never really explored that board before.

Thanks for the pointer.
