Candin 04-02-07, 10:11 PM	My friends and I are starting a new campaign. I haven't played a while, so I'm a little sluggish on the details of casting failure. I know wizards and other classes that use arcane spells typically suffer from a casting failure percentage when they wear armor. My question is about clerics. I'm using etools and it says I have a casting failure. I don't ever remember having a casting failure when I played a cleric in the past. I've scoured the players handbook and there isn't any clean statement that "clerics do not suffer a casting failure for wearing armor." The closest I can find is its mention that arcane casters suffer from an arcane casting failure. I'd appreciate the help.
Tempest Stormwind 04-02-07, 10:13 PM	That's because etools is full of holes. You technically do have a casting failure chance, but it only applies to arcane spells. Strictly speaking, a ROGUE has an arcane spell failure chance from her light armor, although it'll never come into play.
Candin 04-02-07, 10:16 PM	Thanks. I never had pleasant experiences with etools, but I wanted to play it safe. I'd hate to build my character and get thrown a curveball like that in the middle of a game.
