| wuffanie07-27-06, 06:09 PM | well i play a catfolk rogue and am gonna take a level or two in fighter, we are early in a campaign do you think it would be a good idea for me to be a catlord or does that class suck, it seems cool though it can summon dire lions, and transform and stuff. |
| wuffanie07-27-06, 09:02 PM | nobody ever replies to my noobish topics. . . [cries] |
| SilvercatMoonpaw07-27-06, 09:06 PM | Not to try and be mean, but two things: 1) Use better punctuation. Sentances are hard to read otherwsie. 2) This is probably a question for the character optimization boards. And one extra: 3) What's a catlord? |
| Nialo07-27-06, 09:35 PM | By Catlord, do you mean the class in Masters of the Wild? The subclass of Animal Lord? The Animal Lord prestige class is pretty good, but to take it you need ranger or druid levels. |
| wuffanie07-27-06, 10:19 PM | i dont think you have to take druid or ranger levels though, because it says they are "most commonly" druids or rangers. yes i do speak of the subclass of animal lord and sorry if this is in the wrong board but i think i should be able to be a catlord regardless of class because i AM a catfolk after all |

Instead of a couple levels of fighter, you could try three levels of swashbucker. You'd get weapon finesse free and also add on insightful strike, which gives intelligence damage to attacks. These would apply to the claw attacks you get, as would sneak attack damage if they were flatfooted. Another consideration could be that if you're planning on doing natural attacks, you could take levels in monk. The class sounds interesting, but would need to be figured out some. |
