Ok everyone I am working on this class but it is not quite finished. I am working on another college degree, so i can only work on it during my spare time but here is a little preview.

The power of acid it is capable of burning, corroding, dissolving, or eating away by chemical action. Great Black Wyrms are not the only ones to master the power of acid; a rare few learn the path to Causticmancy. The mastery of acid magic takes a special individual; one that craves power, and that is will too take the pains involved in achieving it.

Adventures: Causticmancers only goal is power. The acid mage adventures to leave his mark on the world, preferably one etched on the bones of his enemies. The Causticmancer feels more at home in an alchemist’s lab than he does in a tavern. Caustimancers believe that mages that specialize in fire, water, ice, and sound, are very misled, and must be destroyed. They due have a grudging respect for those who like electricity, and try to sway them towards the path of acid.

Characteristics: Causticmancers have an obsessive affinity for acid magic that can’t be surpassed by any other class. Their abilities are oriented toward the element of acid. In addition to the ability to attack their opponents with acid, causticmancers gain an increasing array of magical powers, including the ability to combine acid with electricity creating caustic lightning.

Alignment: Causticmancers, in keeping with acid’s corrosive nature, usually have an evil bent. However, acid mages can be of a neutral alignment. People of good alignment just can’t bring themselves to follow this path.

Religion: Causticmancers are not known for their religious devotion. But sometimes they worship deities who believe in pain and torture. Gods such as Nerull, Boccob, Erythnul, Hextor, Vecna, are the most common worshipped among Causticmancers. But some also follow Tiamat, Chronepsis, Falazure, and Garyx. There also exists cults of Causticmancer that worship green dragons, and cults that worship black dragons. But for the most part Causticmancers only worship themselves.

Background: Most acid mages were apprentices or wizards who had memorable run-ins with either a black or green dragon. Causticmancers learned their skills on their own, through experimentation. Those who gain this affinity for acid magic soon become outcasts because they find it difficult to find like minded individuals.

Races: Humans and half-orcs seem to make up the bulk of Causticmancers. Elves disdain acid mages because destructive nature, but a few drow find the mastery of acid magic appealing. Few individuals among the savage races have enough intelligence to master acid magic, but those that do become leaders among their kind.

Other Classes: The Causticmancer shares with some spellcasters an affinity for and a familiarity with acid magic. He dislikes spellcasters who have an affinity for other forms of energy magic, except for those that like electricity and lightning. He can see the usefulness of the raging barbarians’ and realizes they make excellent fodder. The typical Causticmancer dislike monks rangers, clerics and paladins. Causticmancers get along with rogues take little interest at other characters, except for dragon shamans that deal with black or greens.

Role: The Causticmancer enjoys an uncanny affinity for acid magic. They are no where as diverse as other spellcasters, but makes up for it with unbelievable offensive power, thanks to their caustic lightning ability and acid devil abilities. A Causticmancer that is teamed with a more versatile spellcaster make for an extremely deadly addition to any group of adventurers. The trick is to find people that can stand to be around these masters of acid.
