Cavalier/mounted combat class or PrC? [Archive] - Wizards Community

This is probably a question with a really obvious answer, but can someone point me towards a class or prestige class that centres on mounted combat, preferrably a mounted knight or cavalier type class? Preferrably 3.5, but 3.0 is OK too..

In the Complete Warrior supplement, there is a class called the Cavalier; a PrC that specializes in cavalry charges and fighting from horseback. There's also the Wild Plains Outrider in the Complete Adventurer, which is a 3 lv PrC that grants you some nifty mounted abilities.

01-19-06, 01:45 AM Check the Players Handbook under "Fighter".

I guess you might want Diplomacy and Knowledge (History), and Knowledge (Nobilty and Royalty) as a class skills so ask you local DM if you can have them added to your fighter's class skill list.

Green Ronin's Master Class book titled.... "The Cavalier."

It's an entire book devoted to a new core class for mounted warriors, new optional rules, feats, skill uses, and such. It's actually one of the best books that I own, and I own a -lot- of gaming books.

I have fond memories of playing a Cavalier way back in 1E - I didn't realise a 3E version existed. :D
The first 3e WotC's version existed in Sword and Fist for 3.0e.

The aforementioned Green Ronin d20 book contains a modern cavalier for d20 Modern rules.

01-20-06, 07:40 PM Hey. I would have to say the best base class would have to be the palidin since they get mounts at 5th level. for a prestige class I would say the complete warrior calver. I probly misspelled it but look for like the 3rd prestige class in the book.
