Hi. I've seen the Mystic Theurge in the DM 3.5 and thought it was very nice. As I'm in the process of starting up an Illumian campaign, and am adding in psionics for flavor, I'm going to put out a challenge:

Make a prestige class that is a combination of divine & arcane spellcaster and psionic manifester. You can take it any path you want, but I expect it to be actually playable, and not just something that is meant for "sparkly value".

Thanks! :D

Warning! Stupid Question!
The race must be Illumian, correct?

You want a build that requires 3 'caster' classes, and want it to be playable? I'm not seeing how, without it being grossly overpowered. More likely, you'll suck, and badly.

That's a possibility, Wraithwin. You can make it either way.

Mirikon, I didn't say it would have to be within level 20 range. It can be epic.

In that case, Wizard 20/Cleric 20/<insert psionic class here> 20

Hmmm... The task is rather daunting, but I'll bet it can be done. I'm sure I'll have something drawn up in a day or two. Granted, it'll be nowhere near as good as the Mystic Theurge, but that's because it'll be a generalist. Hmm... Maybe I'll even name it the Generalist... Nah... Too corny...

Just my opinion,

Alright...

I can think of a few ways, one being Cleric 4, Wizard 3, Psion 3, Mystic Theurge 10 (5 before 20, 5 after), Cerebremancer 10 (5 before 20, 5 after), and end with Geomancer 10 (focus the increased level on Cleric to level out the spells). You'd wind up with Manifester level 13 (7th level powers), Arcane caster level 33 (9th level spells) and Divine caster level 24 (9th level spells). If you want to cheese this way to hell and back, make sure your Knowledge skills for Natura, Religion and Arcana are all at 24+ Ranks and take Epic Spellcasting. Theoretically, you'll end up with 12 epic spells a day, which is just sick.

Favored Path - Trick the System
First off, go human: you'll need the flexibility of bonus the skillpoints and feat.

Levels 1 - 10: Psion (Expanded Psionics Handbook, Egoist Discipline)
Grants access up to 5th level powers, leaving you one level short of 6th level manifestations (if you really want it, take Psion as your 21st level). Generic powers will give you versatility and this Discipline will benefit you greatly.
Feats -
Human: Heroic Destiny (Races of Destiny)
1st Level: Able Learner (Races of Destiny)
Psi 1st Bonus: Combat Manifestation
3rd Level: Quicken Power
Psi 5th Bonus: Chain Power
6th Level: Fearless Destiny (Races of Destiny)
9th Level: Psionic Meditation
Psi 10th Bonus: Extend Power
Powers to keep in mind: Animal Affinity

Levels 11 - 20: Chameleon (Races of Destiny)
You're going to have plenty of time to get the skill-ranks you need for the class while leveling Psion. Why Chameleon? Simple: They can emulate Arcane and Divine! At 7th level (17th character level) they can Focus in Arcane and Divine at the same time too! Being that you emulate cleric, you can choose any spells from the cleric's list, and seeing you'll have a spellbook, you can effectively "know" very large amounts of spells. At 2nd level, you get a "bonus feat" with a special catch: You can re-choose this every time you choose an aptitude focus! Want more? How about gaining Uncanny Dodge and Evasion (for a limited time, but still, several times a day)? Still not satisfied? Add in that you have a +6 total inherent bonus that you can float wherever you want when you change aptitudes (so it stacks with Animal Affinity, or the Wizard stat-buffs). You want utility? You got it!
Feats-
12th Level: Sudden Extend (Extend 1/day spontaneously with no downside)
Chameleon Bonus: Drifting! Every time you use an aptitude focus, rechoose! A good idea for this one could be "Non-Lethal Substitution" for when you want to use a fireball, but not kill someone, or Arcane Strike. Think utility.
15th Level: Combat Casting
18th Level: Energy Substitution, or Sudden Maximize
Spells to keep in mind: Polymorph, Contingency, Heal.
Items to seak greatly: Scroll/Staff/Anything with Shapechange.

For sake of Arguement, I'll use the "Elite Array" ability score method from page 169 of the DMG 3.5 (the one used to make the NPC examples).
Stat values to be distributed: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
Effective Stats:
STR: 8 (least needed, use powers/spells/magic items to boose if needed)
DEX: 12 (Extra AC is great, but not as needed as the rest)
CON: 14 (13 +1 at 16th. Fort saves can use it, and extra HP is good)
INT: 17 (15, +1 at 4th, +1 at 20th. Only Psion will go above 6th level powers)
WIS: 16 (14, +1 at 8th, +1 at 12th)
CHA: 10 (don't need as much, though a negative would be bad)

You may not like my being vague here, but most powers and spells are completely up to you other than the ones I suggested to keep a note of. Now to explain why I suggested you remember them: The idea of this is to make an effective, multi-power character with many options.

Contingency (Heal): It... will... save... your... ASS! Set a condition to respond to you falling below a certain point of HP.

Polymorph/Shapechange: Uhm... Hello! Your caster level will be 20... Couple with Arcane Strike and a creature that has a really high strength and/or a lot of natural attacks... You can not only sling a lot of spells and powers, but you can become a combat monster, in all literal senses!

Keep in mind that unless I am mistaken, bonuses to Strength from Bull's Strength or Animal Affinity as well as the Chameleon's Ability Boost will carry over to the changed form. The higher the strength, the better.

Level 20 Character
20th Level Arcane Caster (6th level spells)
20th Level Divine Caster (6th level spells)
10th Level Manifester (5th level powers)

How's THAT for combining all 3 and still being useful, eh?
What's more, the Chameleon class opens you up to all sorts of prestige classes, including several epic ones! Most classes say "ability to cast" or the like, which the Chameleon falls into unless I'm mistaken. They have access to Evasion too! What would happen if you took this and made it a Void Incarnate, if you can? Heh.

---Edit---
Oh crap... I completely missed that you were looking for a prestige class, and not a class progression! :( Gah! I spent so much time thinking that out too! I'll see if I can come up with something that actually fits into the goal later.

Why stop there? Why not also incorporate combat and skills? Make it a divine/arcane/psioinic class with the ability to wear armour, have full BAB and sneak attack, and plenty of skills?

Prereq:
Martial weapon proficiency for all martial weapons.
Level 2 arcane caster
Level 2 divine caster
Level 2 manifester
Sneak attack 1d6
Skills, 5 ranks in spellcraft, psicraft, search, disable device

Hit Dice: d4
BAB: good.
No weapons or armour prof:
All poor saves.
Skill points: 4 + int / level
Skills all rogue skills are class skills along with all fighter skills and all knowledge skills, spellcraft, psicraft and concentration.

Each level it will +1 arcane/divine caster level, +1 manifester level.
At even levels it get +1d6 sneak attack.

Enjoy! :D

There are cerebremancer psi/arcane presq: lvl6
there are mystic theurge divine/arcane presq: lvl6
third one missing is psinonic theurge divine/psi presq: lvl6

You could come up solution with these three.
psion3/wiz3/clr3/cerebremancer4/mystic theurge4/psionic theurge3

total:
CL10 psion casting
CL11 arcane casting
CL10 divine casting

not enough? Then let's fix something.

Mystic Cerebremancer!

presquites:
CL3 casting in one of the following castings: divine arcane psionic
CL2 casting in the rest of the three

CL3 casting is now considered primary and from the two CL2s player chooses secondary and third. This decision cannot be altered later.

no new weapon or aror proficiensies
skills 2+int, all class skills from the previous 3 casting classes are class skills to Mystic Cerebremancer
HD d4
BAB poor
Saves: will good

lvl special
1 +1primary
2 +1secondary, +1third
3 +1primary, +1secondary, +1third
4 +1primary, +1secondary
5 +1primary, +1third
6 +1primary, +1secondary, +1third
7 +1primary, +1secondary
8 +1primary, +1third
9 +1primary, +1secondary, +1third
10 +1primary, +1secondary

spellcasting:
At levels 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 Mystic Cerebremancer gains spells if he would have gained a level in his previous primary spellcasting class.

At levels 2,3,4,6,7,9,10 Mystic Cerebremancer gains spells if he would have gained a level in his previous secondary spellcasting class.

At levels 2,3,5,6,8,9 Mystic Cerebremancer gains spells if he would have gained a level in his previous third spellcasting class.

Result:
CL 12 in primary spellcasting class
CL 9 in secondary spellcasting class
CL 8 in third spellcasting class

at level 17
