Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has played or has use this prestige class in their Eberron games. If so did you modify it or re write it in any way? I am looking for some advice or information to fit it in my present game. Thanks in advance.

I have yet to use it, but thought about Eberron adaptations when I read it.

Keep it mechanically as it stands, but change all references to Corellon into references into Valenar ancestors. The racial requirement becomes "Elf (Valenar)".

I haven't looked at the class in a while, but I remember that. It seemed like a natural fit.

I agree. The Champion's style fits very well with that of the Valenar elves: finesse, power, and mounted combat. Some changes I would suggest:

• Renaming the class: Valenar Champion
• Change the alignment requirement to any
• Replace the Knowledge (religion) requirement with Knowledge (local: Valenar)
• Replace Corellon's blessing with an insight bonus on Ride checks and Intimidate checks equal to your class level, and rename the ability Prowess of the Valenar
• Rename Corellon's Wrath into Wrath of the Valenar. The sacred bonus on attack rolls becomes unnamed instead. The weapon is not considered good-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
• Instead of having to worship Corellon Larethian, the character would have to be a Valenar elf
• The weapon focus requirement should be taken with the scimitar. The exotic weapon proficiency requirement should be taken with the Valenar double scimitar

As has been said, the only aspects to consider are cultural ones. The game mechanics work fine in Eberron.

I'll go the opposite route though and say that Valenar Elves are relatively inappropriate. At least in my mind I see Valenar as more lightly armoured horse-archers and swordsmen. Due to this, they'd make rather poor Champions of Corellon.

I would use the Aerenal Elves. A culture steeped in tradition and magic would need able-bodied defenders, would it not? You could even tie the training of such warriors to the City of the Dead. Rename the class "Champion of My Lost Fathers" or something and have them make a pilgrimage to the City of the Dead to be trained.

The class background just flows from there. And further interesting ideas for the character later in his career can be based on the concept. Maybe his magical armour is engraved with the names of his fathers going back fifty generations, or his sword is a Ghost Touch weapon because it was originally created to battle the wraiths that attacked the City of the Dead years ago..

Etc etc.

Now I might have to start a new Eberron game.....
