The other thing I wanted some insite on is Quivering palm.

I know people complain about worthless abilities, but this one really is worthless.

At 15th level this ability seems laughable, something that should be gained way before this level. Here are all the things working against you:

1) You are very limited to the kinds of characters you can even try this on. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits cannot be affected. That last one is a killer.
2) Next you have to hit. If the CR of the foe is close to you, it will be chalenging.
3) Next, you actually have to damage the character. Many Reduction/Resistance monsters are basically out now.
4) The character then gets a saving through vs. FORTITUDE. The DC would be roughly 19. Again, for a CR close to you, in which you would hope to try the Quivering palm on, they already have an average of +10 to FORTITUDE. A fighter at this level, has an average of +17 to FORTITUDE. If you were lucky enough to make it this fare, the odds are still against you.
1) To top it all off, You only get to use it once a WEEK! Therefore, if that one attack misses, you can't even think about using it for another week.

I have personally never had a successfull with the quivering palm. ever! and I have played monks for a long time. I wish there was something more beneficial to a 15th level monk (which is pretty high)

It's one ability out of a slightly exaggerated gazillion. Monks don't need more or stronger abilities. What they need is full BAB, but their abilities are fine - in fact, if you get lucky enough with attribute rolls or your DM favours you with a high point-buy, monks can be quite powerful. That's the real issue: more than any other class, monks stand or fall with their attributes.

Btw, if you think a 15th level or higher monk's QP save DC is roughly 19, you're not playing very good monks. Wis no higher than 15 at that level is ridiculous. A *20th* level barbarian NPC, straight out of the DMG, has a Fort save of +14. Your inept monk vs. a CR 5 points higher still has a 1 in 5 chance of successfully forcing a failed life-or-death save.

Feel free to be more creative with the monk. One I made was a plaugemonk, at lvl 5 he gains immuinty to natural deaseses(sp) Sp being lawful evil, used them with unarmaed strikes (A bandana with The black plauge all over it=kill millions) Try Drunken boxer or assain class with the monk to gain varouis helpful ablities/spells.

Quivering palm is another monk ability, much like perfect self, that is given to the monk to help emphasize the "not quite mortal" feel monks seem to have going for them. And against something with good fortitude saves, it is pretty worthless. But like most of the monk's abilities, this is just more anti caster-ness. Between their SR, High saves, evasion and whatnot, this ability just seems like more caster killing the monk has. Casters, in general, have bad fort saves. Killing casters quickly is good. Quivering Palm does that. Then again, who am I kidding, once a week... :nonono: . And what mage doesn't buff his saves?

What mage lets anyone within melee range to him? A stupid mage, that's who. (See sig)
