the race changeling has a natural sneak attack (2D6).

Does it mean that a changeling thief (lvl 1) has a sneak attack of 3d6 ?

01-24-06, 08:57 AM I'm guessing you discovered the changeling in MM3 rather than in Eberron, and this is your first time playing a monster race. I believe those stats are for a third-level changeling thief. You'll note that at the end of the changeling entry there's a section on changeling PCs. For example, observe the SRD entry for goblin (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/goblin.htm). See the section that says "Goblins as characters"? Treat goblins as a PC race with those racial traits. Similarly, the end of the changeling entry has a "Changelings as characters" section.

In other words, changelings do not have a natural sneak attack.
