| Josheva05-26-05, 12:46 AM | Hey all, I was just wondering about everyones opinion on this. What does everyone think would be a fair progression of bonus feats to give a sorcerer in lieu of his familiar? In other words I want to make a change to the Sorcerer Class by adding bonus feats (There will be a list of feats that can be chosen much like a fighters bonus feats except all relating to magic), but I do not know what levels I should give them at. Should it be every 3rd, 4th, or 5th level? Thank you all in advance for your time. |

The familiar is probably worth 3 or 4 feats, with XP price tag if it dies, but a bonus feat allows a character to (potentially) qualify for PrCs earlier than expected. On the other hand, the variant Sorcerer proposed by TheDarkestOfAngels (and the one used IMC) simply grants the Sorcerer a bonus feat (Extra Spell Known, or a metmagic) every 5 levels. (Plus Magical Aptitude at 2nd level). |
