06-16-07, 08:23 PM I dont know if this is the right board to post this on but I have a question. Under the section for turning or rebuking undead it mentions channeling positive or negative energy. The example it gives is of a cleric channeling to ward a door. It says that a cleric must exceed or match the turn attempt in order to enter. Does this mean that this is an effective wall unless you are able to match or exceed the turn check?

06-18-07, 08:28 AM Where is that from? I do not remember a section of TU being used to create a permanent barrier. I considered it more of a one-time pulse, the positive energy variant of an EMP blast.

06-18-07, 11:23 AM It's an example in the PHB (I forget where) that explains that turning/rebuking can be given other uses besides affecting undead; there is no spell or other effect that does what the door does. As far as I have read, there is no mechanical example of other things you do with turning/rebuking aside from Divine feats; I can only assume it's up to the DM to make up something that would work that way, as no other explanation is given. I would say that it works like a lock, and the turning/rebuking is the key--the door is there, but you can't open it unless the right key unlocks it.
