| ImagoKid09-24-04, 07:55 AM | Hey I'm currently DMing a campaign but it's almost over and I'm about to become a player! In my party there is a wizard, fighter and a ranger, and I want to go as a specialised kind of sorcerer called a chaos-mage. It would simply be a modification on the sorcerer, but please help me with making this new class!! What special abilities would he get? The chaos domain? Please help me! Thanks! ImagoKid |

| Meion_leah09-24-04, 04:19 PM | i think he is kind of going for the chaos mage thats in Baldur's Gate 2 Shadows of Amn. i'm not sure what all the class had going for it cuz its beena long time sense i played and i didnt look at it too much at the time. i'll look at it in the game later and post some of the details ( but fist off am i aloud to do that? left me know please) |

I think it got extra spells/day like a specialist wizard but with no prohibited school, had a random element added to (or subtracted from) its caster level, and had a 1 in 20 chance of triggering a wild surge every time it cast a spell. The wild surges could do... just about anything, but they were (as the name implies) completely random. |
| ImagoKid09-24-04, 10:46 PM | Hey I'm trying to create a whole new class. The Chaos Mage will have its own spell list and will be able to cast heaps of spells per day, but wont have a very large amount of spells known. The Chaos Mage is going to be based on chaos, randomness, wildness, and the ability to use raw magical energy. It will get "static" points at each level, and by expending a number of static points equivalent to the level of the spell, he can convert a spell into raw magical energy. The energy deals a certain amount of damage depending on the level of the spell. Static points are renewed each day. Anyheck, theres an idea ImagoKid |
