I recently came up with a uniqu character concept. First, I'll describe it.

The concept is that the character has trained and gained control over the small electrical currents in his body. Because the charges are small, it takes time to build them up to something substatial. Any buildup too large will damage the character.

I imagined this character as some sort of martial artist. With each punch/round he builds up the charge to release it on the next succesful hit that he wants the charge to be released.

Some aspects this character would have include: a way to build up electrical damage into an attack, a way to absorb some electrical damage to be released later, good fort/ref, med to full bab, d10 or d12 hit die.

To me it sounds a little too specialized to be a "core class". Might make an interesting PrC for a Monk though. Call it something like...Bioelectric Monk ;) or maybe if you wanna be more "colorful" "The Way of the Storm's Caress" (just some ideas, call it whatever you like man it's your baby).

You could even add some other bioelectric themed abilities. Ability to make a target Fort save or be stunned, increasing the speed of electrical impulses quickening the body (think haste), make it stand out ya know? Really go with the "theme".

I could do it in my FR game, which has a few homebrewed feats available from our DM fairly easy, but core...

I'd start with monk, and see if your DM will let you take the Fiery Fists/Ki Projection feats from PHB II with electrical damage instead. Then I'd work with him to make the PrC.

Sounds like a straight Monk with a bit of flavour to me. His punches hurt more because they are powered with electricity. He moves quickly, building up static electricity from the ground he scuffs, and when he uses his Dimension Door he vanishes in a bolt of lightning only to reappear elsewhere in another bolt.
