09-02-07, 06:54 PM How do you make up David Bowie in class? Stats? Skills? I know Preform (singing) and (string instrument) are key, but he also seems to have ranks in Profession (audio engineer). What do you guys think?

09-02-07, 07:03 PM I would say make him a full fledged bard,
depending on his stats I say max singing and string instrument and also max "audio engineer" with knowledge arcana max too- PrC him as a seeker of the song and there you go =D.

The description of seeker of the song (CArc) is great and I think it would do well.

you would probably need great charisma and wisdom as well as high intelegence for more skill points, but as soon as you hit seeker, everything relies on your performance (which is nice).

09-02-07, 07:25 PM First we must ask ourselves what we were David Bowie's greatest accomplishments, so our build can accurately recreate them.

1. Invented free energy, an earthquake machine, and a teleporter/cloner
2. Traveled the galaxy with Ziggy Stardust.
3. Founded and lead an international cabal of super villains

OK, the first one would need lots of levels in Wizard, with the appropriate magic item creation feats.

The next is pretty easy. There are spells protection against hostile planar inviroments, and presumably those would work for hostile enviroments on the material plane as well. Greater teleport would also help a lot, since you can teleport to any place you've even just heard of. You just need a good solid description.

For the last, you'd need a lot of diplomacy, bluff, intimidate, and sense motive. The Leadership feat of course. A high level would be needed to get him that many high level followers.

I think all-in-all we're looking at a 20th level gestalt wizard/bard.

Seriously though, he wouldn't be over 5th level (http://www.thealexandrian.net/archive/archive2007-03.html). Probably 1st or 2nd. Max ranks, average stats, and a couple skill boosting feats can go a long way.

09-02-07, 08:16 PM Yep. Liberal use of illusion and enchantment magics are definitely one of the most frequently used things in David Bowie's vast array of deadly powers and abilities.

In addition to his unmatched musical and magical talent, David Bowie also has unsurpassed physical prowess. So roll good on some stats. Also, it should be noted that David Bowie is a Paragon(Epic Lv handbook) and a God(Deities & Demigods) and those should be included in his write-up.
