| Walls11-27-06, 05:26 PM | ...the threads on FG NPC's and Adventuring Parties, both ours and canon. Sorry for the sordid amount of posts despite just joining the forum. I have been catching up in the forums and it's got me strangely excited about this game all over again. I don't think it has been done and since a good portion of us are stat junkies, why not do our own? I propose the following: Create a character using only official D&D canon and official works (no Dungeon magazine, homebrew, etc, etc). List their stats at 1st, 5th and 10th level. You include their progression, possibly multi classing... hell maybe even 15th and 20th if you are so inspired. If this is a go with the community (I think it'll be fun!) I'll jump right in with my own! Maybe this will give those with creative blocks some fire. Cool? Note: I posted this originally on the FG forums, figured this might be popular here as well. Thanks! |
| periscope11-27-06, 05:34 PM | What kind of point buy? or are you just going to give us the same stats and people can rearrange them to their liking? |
| Walls11-27-06, 05:47 PM | Ah yes, points. The DM has a certain rule, the "Elite Array" with 15, 14, 23, 12, 10, 8. It's standard and easy enough to use without being munchkin I think. We could use other rules. I am up for whatever, really. I am more interested in the actual character development over the levels, seeing what PrC and multiclassing is done if any... why it is done... storyarcs and background... etc, etc. |
| periscope11-27-06, 10:21 PM | I think It would be better to use the point buy since it allows far more custimability and because the elite array kinda sucks. Any specific feat, classes, prcs, spells, psionics, incarnum, or tob, or tom banned? |
| Walls11-27-06, 10:50 PM | I think the Elite Array allows for good balance and reality. Point Buy works too if you want. Originally I had this post just using Forgotten Realms stuff but I say any "official" D&D stuff: Normal, Eberron, FR... just not net book, Dungeon magazine, home brew, etc. Actual WOTC products. |
| periscope11-27-06, 11:23 PM | regular or gestalt? |
| Walls11-28-06, 09:25 AM | Gestalt? I figure just do as you please using the rules. *shrugs* I have my idea getting done here soon. Hopefully more people join in. You never know what might happen! |
| Walls11-30-06, 05:16 PM | Here we go! I will put mine up as we go, starting with my level 1 and so on just eddited in. Feel free to join in the reindeer games! Note: I am pretty rusty, so if I missed something let me know. I used standard point buy as well. ============= CR: 1 Maynard Wentwhistle Fighter 1 Halfling STR 13 DEX 16 CON 11 INT 10 WIS 13 CHR 10 HP: 10 AC: Base land speed is 20 feet.
