Current character is Human Ranger2/swordsage 1 NG (who because of an item might start to change to evil over time)* Also since the party was TPK'ed the last time we played and everyone was rezed by our own God, we can probly change alignment if we want. since it was a "near death event" it could justify changing a characters ways. *Move info on the item is requisted. We just leveled twice. We were only 300xp from level 4 the last time we leveled. So I have to add two levels, and plan for the rest. My feats Shadow Blade Adaptive Recover...(the must take feat for Swordsages) Weapon Finess. I fight with short swords or daggers since one is really cool (see note above) I went with the Shadow Hand Disciple and mainly take Shadowhand Manovers and I have the Child of Shadows Stance. I know I want to take one more level of Swordsage for the extra Stance (Island of Blades) and the Wis to AC. After this I don't know what to take. The rest of the part is a Human Healer (Yes i know everone thinks it is a weak class, but it is played well and normally keeps the part alive nicely) Elf Wizard Half-Orc Barb (Not able to make it to all games due to work.) My charater is the main frontline fighter since the Barb can not make it to all sessions. I thought about rogue for sneak attack, but the loss of BAB does not seem like a good idea. Plus that would mean I would need a partner in the front. Not a good idea. I am thinking about Invisible Blade (rewote the prereq's to be Two-weapon fighting and Improved two-weapon fighting) I thought about 3 levels of swashbuckler but thought that adding Str, Dex, and Int to damage would be a bit much. The DM also allows to retrain feats so the first level would not be a dead level. So if anyone has any ideas please let me know. EDIT: I forgot to mention that I took the Ranger variant that replaces Track with Trapfinding since we did not have a rogue. |

Somewhere in the mix, a Warblade dip probably wouldn't hurt. d12 hit dice, full BAB, okay skill points, & good class features. Now, if you really want Sneak Attack, but don't want to lose out on BAB and hit dice, there's a Fighter variant combination that will be great for you. Combine the Thug (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#fighterVaria ntThug) and Sneak Attack (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#fighter) variants(which according to Unearthed Arcana can be combined seamlessly). d10 Hit Dice, 4 + Int Mod skill points, & Rogue's Sneak Attack progression. |
