Okay, the game we are plaing broke the rules on multi-classing penalties. This is very important because we are role plaing our characters instead of minmaxing. So, I started off as a Bard. Two games in a row I acted more like a rouge than a bard. So I picked up two levels in rouge. Once we were out of the dungeon I was a little lacking on spells, so for a quick fix I took 1 level of Sorcerer. Then we got involved with the Harpers from Forgotten Realms. As it stands now I am playing a

Desert Gnome (Unearthed Arcana), 2 level Bard, 2 level rouge, 1 level sorcerer, 3 level Harper Agent.

My character is having an identity crisis!!!!

What could/should I do with him? (besides retiring him)

Explain to your DM that its no longer fun to play your character and that you fudged it up. Ask if you can remake your character, if maybe at a slight penalty (2 stat points or something).

Hmm, it's not that my character is not fun to play, but rather that he has no direction. The other characters in the game are very solid, have goals, and know who they are, where as mine is just there. After I finish the Harper Agent prc, I don't know what to do with him.

Kind of like the bard as a whole. :D

You should play a good Lawful class, we think with our heads.

Well, your guy seems to be a Bard/Rogue/Sorcerer. Why not consider Arcane Trickster?

Yeah, I would ask you DM if you could ditch the bard class for either more sorc or rogue, then go Arcane Trickster :)
