Character Sheet for Binder class??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

The binder class can aquire multiple vestiges at any one time which provide additional abilities, feats, skills, and stat bonuses. I had originally thought to just enter this freehand in a document, or keep a few 3x5 cards onhand for vestiges I'm likely to use. This isn't a big deal until you get to the stat and skill bonuses, which modify numbers all over the sheet.

Does anyone have a Binder c-sheet that can keep track of all this? Or should I write my own microsoft access based c-sheet? (shudder)

10-10-07, 04:26 PM I just keep the book at the table, open to the page with the vestige I'm using. Next level I'll get two vestiges at once, so I'll just put bookmark at the pages with each vestige. I also keep a piece of scrap paper to jot down what vestige I've got pacts with, whether they're good or bad pacts, and what binding augments I picked. That's the easiest way, I find.

The only difficulty I've encountered is in picking vestiges. It's hard to remember what exactly they all grant. I started typing up a list of all the vestiges, their DCs, and levels, and abbreviated descriptions of their requirements, influences, signs, and granted abilities. It looks like it'll all fit on one page. When it's done I'll try to remember to post it here.

You obviously haven't LOOKED at the Binder sheet on the WotC site, have you?

It's of no use whatsoever. Sure, it says "BINDER" on the front of the sheet, but the only customization is a tiny block on page 4 that reads "Vestiges Typically Bound" and has just enough space to write one or two words. Nothing for stats, powers, feats, or anything else, and they didn't even bother to take off the generic sections. Heck, the section on adjustment for barbarian Rage is larger than the section for Vestiges.

No, that sheet is 100% useless. Hence my question to the forum.

If anyone ACTUALLY knows a sheet that is useful, please post.

10-10-07, 04:37 PM What I did in this situation was I made 3x5 cards for each of the vestiges that has their name, level, DC, and quick descriptions of their requirement, sign, influence, and powers. I just set the cards for the vestiges I'm using out in front of me, and I put any I have in phylacteries in a separate stack to the side. It works quite well. Aside from those, the only thing I need is a generic character sheet.

I made a PDF of cards for all of the vestiges in the ToM, as well as a few from Dragon Magazine and the WotC web enhancements, and another card that has a chart for keeping track of what pact augmentations I'm using. I can e-mail it to you if you want; I seem to recall that it's about 200 kB in size. I'll have to wait until I go home for the evening to do so, though.

Yeah, the first thing I did was make myself an excel sheet as a quick reference guide. Very handy when it comes to picking which ones to bind. But I'm looking for a way to put all the information on one page, rather than 2 pages, a few bookmarks, and a peice of scratch paper. :rolleyes:

Example... channelling Paimon improves your Dex and gives Weapon Finesse (among other things). Add in the effects of a Bard song and Haste, and that's a lot of modifiers (stats, skills, hit rolls, movement, AC, initiative, saves, etc) to keep track of. Our gaming group has a good method for easily tracking spell effects, and I want a c-sheet that can match the simplicity. The goal is to spend more time on the character than on the rules. :D

While I love Ema's character and spell sheets, I don't think his binder page is very useful. The cards I've made are the best solution I've seen so far, if I may say so. ;) I'll e-mail the PDF to anybody else who's interested. I would love to have more sets of eyes go over them for errors and typos; the two binders I've played started out at 10th and 13th level, so there are a number of vestiges (particularly lower-level ones) that I've barely used or haven't used at all.
