Lawkeeper 03-11-08, 05:01 PM	ChaMod on damage as base class ? Not that I know of, except through smites. But look to the Iaijutsu Master, from Oriental Adventures, for the ChaMod applied to each extra damage die from Iaijutsu Focus - ChaMod also applies to Initiative, so you could get a devastating first round attack. Or the Divine Might feat, that gives you ChaMod on all weapon damage for one round, by expending a turn undead attempt. A Favored Soul uses Charisma for spell-level access and bonus spells. A Shugenja uses charisma only.

The only thing is that it doesn't have a charisma based casting. I'm looking for somthing for a build that has Paladin in it allready.

Therefore, if you enter it via Sorcerer, you continue Charisma casting. For paladins? Probably gonna have to look for some sort of independent casting progression PrC, but I don't know of any off the top of my head.

I'm looking for somthing for a build that has Paladin in it allready. The casting in Sacred Exorcist is based on what ever casting you take into the class. Go in with CHA based casting any you keep CHA based casting. Just because it looks like a divine (WIS) based class doesn't mean it is. I believe the "power build" for a spellcasting paladin is Paladin2/Sorcerer4/Spellsword1/AbjurantChampion5/SacredExorcist8. That is 18th level casting with a +16 BAB at 20th level. The Pal/Sor/SS are pretty fixed and AbC fills the gap until you can take SE and while getting SE early can be nice I think I'd finish out AbC to get swift abjurations for 3rd level spells.
bkdubs123 03-11-08, 11:54 PM	Wow. Yeah, I never realized the awesome power of that build until now. Turn Undead. Cha to saves. Cha to spellcasting. Cha to Turn Undead (not to mention being able to grab up divine feats). Arcane spellcasting up to 9th level, and very nice bab and AC. Crazy. That's gotta be your best bet.
TrackStar 03-12-08, 12:23 AM	Yea, I realize what the exorcist class presents but I'm trying to find turning + cha based casting because: I took a paladin variant that got rid of my turning and I want to take advantage of this characters charisma with everything but its casting. So far I have that in my feats and skills. I just need a way to use my charisma for casting now too. Plus alot of useful paladin feats and PrC require you to have turning. Yes, I could take go with a different build but I like what I've got going and want to see how I can stretch it.
bkdubs123 03-12-08, 12:41 AM	So... wait... what exactly is your "build?" Are you looking to go Paladin 20 or something? Are you looking for a PrC that has turning and charisma to casting? If you want a PrC to advance your paladin spellcasting, which also has Turn Undead, and changes the spellcasting stat to charisma, you're probably out of luck. As an alternative, there is a feat called Serenity in the Dragon Magazine Compendium which changes all of your Paladin stuff (spellcasting included I believe, if not ignore this) from being charisma based to wisdom based. If you take that and go into Sacred Exorcist you can get wisdom based casting and divine grace, and with some DM help you can argue to add it to your Exorcist's Turn Undead as well.

I can't think of any paladin variants or PrC's that allow you to change your primary spellcasting ability score from Wisdom to Charisma. However, if you're trying to figure out a way to make Wis a dump stat for your character, you can always use the holy warrior alternate class feature from Complete Champion; you trade spellcasting for bonus feats at 4th, 8th, 11th, and 14th (the class levels at which you would gain new spell levels). My current paladin is able to get away with 8 Wis thanks to that, since I needed a decent Int to qualify for Champion of Corellon Larethian. Out of curiosity, what paladin variant are you using that trades away turning, and what source is it from? There are a number of divine PrC's that grant turning, so I can't imagine it would be that big of a problem, but that's a new one to me.
