| Eldren11-01-03, 05:57 PM | As noted, only the highest Spell Resistance would count. However, there's a prestige class available, the Forsaker (it's from "Masters of the Wild") that gives you Spell Resistance that stacks with any existing Spell Resistance. You essentially become immune to practically any magic by the time you're 10th level in that class, if you started off with a class or race that granted you additional SR. Fear drow Forsakers, lemme tell ya... The downside to this class is that you, personally, can't use magic, ever. You get some impressive abilities to make up for this, but a lot of players really like to accumulate magic, particularly magical weapons and wondrous items, so this class can be really difficult for some players to play appropriately. If you can do it, though, you can find some definite benefits, and it's nice not having to worry about being blasted into oblivion by a high-level spellcaster. However, you also can't use healing magic, which means you have to avoid friendly magic. You have to make saving throws if the spell allows one, and most of the time, if your Cleric or other healing friend can convince you to accept some healing magic, you're only going to get half benefit from it. On top of that, you then lose your Forsaker abilities for a week. This class can be a huge drain on an adventuring party, who continue adventuring at the rate they do because they have access to healing magic or items. The Forsaker is going to be wandering around wounded most of the time, and when they aren't wounded, it's because they convinced their party to stay put for a week or more while they heal naturally. That's about the only prestige class I'm aware of that can let you stack existing SR on top of that gained from a class. Otherwise, you're going to have to get it from magic, or you're going to have to just accept the higher of your two SR ratings. |

| Kenkai11-01-03, 11:51 PM | unless you are playing with the varient rules i thought psionics was considered magic for easier rule following? detect magic = detect psionics spell resistence = psionic resistence no magic = no psionics well thats what i would figure. |
