Class choice help! [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-20-06, 04:22 PM I have a problem, I currently have a lvl 4 monk but I've decided to go into another class. The only problem is, which one?!

I'd like the class I fall in the following categories:

Gives me a good control of things
Can work repeatedly (Not lots of "1/day", 2 maximum)
Preferrably a spell caster, not divine though
Won't take too long to get good effects (Since will effectively be 1 whilst others are 4)
Not too much combat orientated
Don't mind prestige class

Anyone have any suggestions?

02-20-06, 04:34 PM Well any spellcaster would be good then. To fit with monk though I'd probably say Cleric, seeing as it's wisdom baised and thematically tied. The low level spells are generally usefull. Cure and Magic weapon are gernally good. Pluss domain powers are extra gravy.

02-20-06, 04:38 PM Well I suppose that might work but I've also been thinking of the possibility of a psionic, as divine spellcasting isn't really for me (Probably shoulda put that). Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, keep them coming!
