The soil must be at least deep enough, and occupy a large enough area, to cover all but your face. You can use this ability once per day. Desert Shroud (Ex): At 10 th level, you gain the ability back to like under certains conditions. If the remains of you deceased body lie in the soil of the waste (generally desert sand, dust or gravel) for 10 minutes, you are restored to life as though a resurrection spell had been cast upon you, provided you have not been dead for more than one hundred years. The soil must be deep enough, and occupy a large enough area, to cover your entire body (based on you size when the effect is complete). must the character buried in the soil, or be on the soil ? If the character change the soil in sand, will the class features function or not ? If a awaken sand engulf the character, will the class features function or not ? Thanks for your future answer.
Jaid 06-02-05, 05:42 PM	looks to me like the character has to be buried in the soil, but it is open to interpretation. also looks to me like the main thing is that it be from the waste... so if you took waste soil and made it into sand i would say yes. and i don't know that there is such a thing as awakened sand per se (awaken officially only works on plants and animals i thought... is this a different spell or effect of some sort?). but anyways, once again, as long as it's awakened waste sand and it's large enough to engulf you, it seems that way. but since i don't have the book you're using, it could be i'm missing something...
HiQKid 06-02-05, 08:49 PM	Well, earth elementals are created out of whatever's handy, so an earth elemental made of well-packed sand grappling your character, does that count?
