Class feature outsider [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-24-05, 04:25 PM In a game involving lots of downtime this might be important. When a human or another short-lived race changes type into outsider native does he become immortal? I mean outsiders do not age they are like spirits.
So what happens to a human who has the outsider native type? Does he age anymore?

08-24-05, 05:44 PM I don't think Outsiders (native) (or is it Outsider (native)s :confused: ) automatically gain immortality. I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain, for example, that Aasimar (native outsiders) have life spans slightly longer than Humans (about 20-30 years longer I believe).

Again, for emphasis, I could be wrong!

Aasimars have a life span between a human and a halfling (Planar Handbook p. 18). On the thought of immortality, it depends on your DM. One way to interpret the issue is to say native outsiders are mortal while the extraplanar types are immortal.
