I'm making a dragon rider, a noble war heroe. The problem is the class.
I'v seen the Draconomicon one, its horrible. Then I'v seen the dragonlance one, it was ok. I'v been loking for a base class for it and just can't find one.
Iv been thinking of a paladin but all you need is one level of another class and you lose your lay on hands (one of his best abilities).
So if anyone can get me good feets, a good class, good race... anything best to chose.

There is a feat in draconomicon that "grants the service of a dragon mount" seems to me you should do palidin and take that feat. Or knight and that feat if you dont want to be LG.

Sory ben but your class is a little Overpowerd. Im going to take the dragonlance Prc so i just need a class with fighter base attack bonus and best ability cha: but im already thinking of a hexblade.

Any class can ride a dragon. Why do you need a specific base class for this?

It's sort of like asking for a class that can ride a horse, swim, or speak -- or more accurately, a class that can lead a guild (since both leading a guild and convincing a dragon to let you ride it involve RP, and both can be approximated rather nicely with a single feat).

TS: Because some classes do it better than others.

You know better than me the absurdity of Supermount.

I assume that you want a typical sword&lance dragonrider instead of a (more efficient) archer or spellcaster?

How about a Fighter/Cavalier? While the PRC is made for land based animals (horses) nothing says that it won't work when mounted on a dragon. Take the Dragon Cohort feat and you have a dragon mount (when your level is high enough. Being small is a advantage here). Or what about the Halfling Outrider?

First of all, im not playing a warrior class halfing.
The dragonlance dragon rider that im taking needs leadership, thats why i need high cha.
And im going to use a lance. I cant use the cavalier for dragons, my DM said so, and it doesn't improve his dragon like the dragonrider.

I think there was a class in the Draconomicon that specializes in riding dragons, but as others have mentioned, any class (especially that gives you bonuses to riding or mounted combat) can work well.

I said already that im taking the dragonlance dragon raider because the draconomicon one is 1. wich 2.only 5 levels 3. nobudy likes it anyway.
Like i said many times before, im taking the dragonlance one. Now he needs lidership so im loking for a class with high Cha, just so i can benefite from the lidership. All i know for now is:
1. knight-my DM doesnt wont me to be it (dont try to convince him)
2. Hexblade- but doesnt realy need high cha
3. paladin- wick when taking a Prc because that he loses the lay on hand ability (it becomes to low).

Now all i need it a few more so i can chose a good class.

Er, any class can have high cha, those simply make greatest use of it. If it weren't for the nobility, I'd advise Barbarian, and then look up that feat in Unapproachable East that gives you frightful presence and adapt it. Favored Soul of a draconic deity could also be very fun, and even the simple fighter could suffice for a few levels (so that you get weapon specialization, then go for mastery).

So...you're looking for a class that uses Charisma modifiers for its abilities? Shouldn't you be able to research this yourself?

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but a little leg work isn't that hard.

Unfortunately, most of the classes/PrCs that rely on Cha are spell-users. Sorcerers and wilders come to mind. But you're looking for a warrior, I suspect, as you've already stated that you would have liked Knight or Hexblade.

The only Cha-based warrior class I can think of is a cha-based version of the Duelist - you use intimidation, deception, bluffs, and lies to make yourself look more powerful/skilled then you are (effectively making you just as skilled as all the other balanced classes). I may have written one of these up, but can't remember. Email me if you want me to look harder (that is, at all). Altho, I don't see the smart-mouthed, swashbuckler razzing his opponent from atop a dragon - I mean, there's no need. You're on a dragon. Anyone who isn't scared of you already isn't going to cower at a few choice words.

Also, I don't see a Cha-buffed warrior riding a dragon. Well, yes, agreed, you DO need a ton of charisma to get a dragon to carry you around, but as for "fighting with Cha" - it just stretches the imagination. I think just being "knight-ish" (knight-ly?) would be enough. Be a fighter and focus on your Leadership, mounted combat, and lance specialization. You'll be enough of a knight for me, anyway. And fighter will make it easy to qualify for the dragonrider PrC.

Good gaming,

Your DM doesn't like knights? Seems he's kind of gimping you (if I remember correctly, they have an ability related to riding). Knights (if I'm right) would probably be your best bet, but if you can't convince your DM, fighter will work fine. But, with a fighter, Charisma is next to useless. Fighter/Paladin?

Try finding some variant Fighter and Paladin classes, if possible (I believe they are in Dragon Magazine). I seem to remember a variant fighter that focused on riding...

go for knight if you can pull it off. They gain mounted combat as an ability at some level.

If not you could do a palidin varient from Unearthed Arcana. They did CG LE and CE. Id suggest LE, as i dont think the CG one makes any sense, and no one wants to travel with a CE chapion of chaos and evil.

But a knight is exactly what you are wanting to play here, most of its class abilities focus on CHA, it gets mounted combat, and is a great front line fighter.
