Since there are as many posts on the board about Sorcerors, Druids, and Clerics as there are, I'd like to ask that if you should turn your attention to those debates(whether starting a thread, or becoming involved in one), you first turn your attention to page 76 of the Unearthed Arcana.

In it, there is a variant class simply known as "Spellcaster." You have your choices of Arcane or Divine, saves, class skills, even which class's spell list you cast from, and some bonus feats.

Is your Sorceror just too weak without enough metamagic feats? Is your Cleric just too strong? Having trouble roleplaying a Druid? Then please, take up levels as a Spellcaster. It may say "Generic Class," but its just like, let's say, brands of soft drinks. Sure, Mountain Dew is great, but generic Mountain Dew tastes just as good, and is cheaper. :D How can you possibly lose out?

Its worth looking at, really! Anyone have any comments after having seen it?

I've not got that book. But of what I've heard it sounds cool.
