(He'll be gestalt Psion (Telepath)) Maybe 3 levels of swashbuckler to get weapon finesse and int mod to damage and then 2 levels of fighter and get things like weapon focus/greater weapon focus for his natural attack? Maybe a wizard/archmage, but he has a la+4 (La buy-off game) and starts with 4 HD, so he can't become an archmage until he's epic? A warlock is cool, but is that a good combo? And hellfire warlock + "Body Purification" power= Fun, even funnier with one level of binder. Or monk, but I've heard that they suck? Bard seems fun, but useless. Maybe a truenamer or shadowcaster or binder, but I'm not sure about them? A paladin of freedom? Nah. If I take wizard then I will have problems with books and carrying items. Warmage and beguiler seem fun, and eschew material can fix most materials, but the HD/LA is somewhat problematic? What does fit? And Vow of Poverty? Is it good? (He'll be CG (Or NG, but I hate neutral. If I where a deity, then my paladins would have "Smite Neutral"!)) |

If you are sure that half of the gestalt is gonna be telepath, what is going to be your primary role? If you want to be able to do a lot of melee, Telepath/Psychic Warrior is a good combo for a lot more power points and larger power list. If you want to stay off the frontlines, warlocks or other caster types could work. Rogue can benefit from the high int for more skill points. |

You won't be getting the high level spells and you really aren't giving yourself anything you can't already have via psionics. Plus, the class features (other than spells vs. powers) are virtually identical and won't improve in a gestalt game. Palidan of Freedom will add you Cha bonus to your saves as well as your AC (that you get from being an Unbodied). Plus, it will give you a nice boost to your fortitude save (though most of those effects, incorporealnes protects you from) and base attack bonus. Monk will boost your fortitude and reflex saves, give you more skill points, evasion, and a third ability score contributing to your AC (the other two being Dex and Cha) Although you won't get the unarmed damage, this is still one of your better choices, to be perfectly honest. Swashbuckler will improve your attack bonus greatly, both from the improved BAB and Weapon Finesse. In addition, the better Fort saves and much larger HD improve your survivability. Your touch attack gets the most bonus from this, especially since it adds your intelligence (should already be nice and high) to your damage with it. However, any more than three levels I'd say would be a waste (I don't own CW, so don't yell at me if they get good stuff later than 6th). Also improves your skill points by 2 per level. Fighter's a trap. Don't bother. Binder is the only class from Tome of Magic that is worth anything. Some vestige abilities could be fun when combined with your incorporeal nature. Maybe this would be a decent choice. Warmage and scorcerer have similar problems as Wizard; namely lack of flexibility. However, they are better choices. |
