03-20-05, 12:34 PM I am creating some gnome characters and i was wondering what type of class i shoud go for. I know that there preferred class is a bard but I was wondering if there was any class that is out there that is not in the PHB that works good for a gnome. Thanks alot

03-20-05, 12:42 PM Gnomish wizards work well, due to the high Constitution. Amazingly, a gnomish barbarian isn't a bad idea either.

By the way, when it comes to exclamation points, it's either one, or none.

03-20-05, 01:30 PM Gnome Illusionists work great because they have an increased DC to Illusion saves.

Gnomes dont make very good melee combatants because of the decreased strength, but they are durable.

They are small, so they will suck at grappling, and will have decreased damage from unarmed, melee weapons, and ranged weapons.

But not MAGIC.

03-20-05, 10:20 PM Look at the SRD, it's great. Uh... as for archery I don't know, ranger seems to be the key here. Try taking Slayer, from 3.5 you be the gnome killing machine! :D

Rogues- For Size bonus on hide, Racial bonus on listen, And Gnomes are known for their trickery and practical jokes, lotza fun for gnomes.
Illusionists- Gnomes make good Illusionists, with the DC bonus why not, they make good tricksters.
Bards- see both of the abouth
Illusionist/Rogues- Better than a bard
Illusionist/Bard- Not quite as good as the abouth for sneaky stuff but bard is the favored class (I prefere the 3.0 Favoured Class - Illusionist)
