I recently was playing Castlevania Circle of the Moon (again) and thought it would be neat to have a class that was based on using the DSS cards in the game. Basicly the player could choose one action card, which would choose the basis of the power and an attribute card, which would determine the element of the power. For example, if the player had the Jupiter card (potential for defense) and the Salamander card equiped (power over fire) then activating this power would have something to do with fiery defence, specificly 2 fireballs circling around the player.

I was wondering if this class could fit, or if it was even pratical to convert, in D&D.

So far my thoughts are
1. Mana system - same system that the game uses, easier to convert
2. Mana rejuvination - not at the beginning of every day like other mana users, maybe a state of medetation is needed or a sort of fast healing that affects mana instead
3. Whip specialty - maybe weapon focus and an increase in damage
4. Acess to cards given as lvl up
5. Base class, not Prc

For the cards and the combinations go to here http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/circle_of_the_moon_cards.txt

Any help (esp. the mana system and translation from Castlevania to D&D) would be great.
