| PrinceCurtis05-01-07, 11:35 AM | I"m doing a campaign i nwhich the characters will run into an oriental group of "villians" (I kinda hate using that blanket term for a D&D game where anything can happen). I need help classing them for a gestalt game. Here's what i have so far. Dragon: Ultimate Monk/ Dragonblood Sorceror Phoenix: Shugenja/ Soceror (or Wujen) Horse: Marshal (probally martial variate)/ Fighter Rat: Rouge/.... Rabbit: Fighter/ Crusader That's all i can think of for now |
| fuzzycrusader05-01-07, 04:11 PM | I dont think there's a phoenix in the Chinese zodiac. coming from a place where chinese is the third highest ethnic group I'd have to say the zodiac goes Dragon Tiger Rabbit Ram Ox Pig Horse Rat Monkey Snake dog rooster. for ram, maybe one of those centaur things with horns from the planar handbook. gone wrong of course. ox could be a minotaur cleric, just to mix things up. |

If you have Unearthed Arcana it gives advice on developing Bloodlines. You could develope one and with just a few alternate bonuses depending on sign. I believe it also has Monk animal combat style varients Years ago I worked up Monk varients, based on the Five Deadly Venom movie, a classic kung fu flick. For those I stuck to a centralized theme and worked out, and that may help you here. Last idea before classing: Check out Jackie Chan adventures, now on disney, and probably on web. they had a full series all about the zodiac and talismans that gave specific abilities. Monkey: Scout/Theif-Acrobat Tiger: Ranger/Monk Snake: Monk/Rogue Ox: Barbarian/Cleric ( Domains: strength/competiton ) |

Racially they'll all be humans. Althoug a polymorph speel for the centaurian body might be a good idea... |
| Piropoint05-01-07, 08:34 PM | yes i meant diviner and enchanter sub-school of wizard. sorry for the confusion. Fortune's friend is a new prestige class from Complete Scoundrel. It has a "better lucky then good" theme to it. Takes great advantage of the new luck feats system. |
