| Shadowfax710-16-05, 12:10 AM | Where can I find a point system for balancing a class ?? For example, this ability is worth this amount of points, a spell-level is worth this amount of points, etc. I have seen a racial point system published in The Advanced Player's Handbook by Skip Williams, but I have never seen one for classes. |
| Krug_the_smasher10-16-05, 12:26 AM | ummm.....well i have one but i got it off of Limewire. if you have that or Kazaa or something like that search for Tool_CCSv15 it works wonders. it is in excell format so when you punch in the number it atomatically tallys up the score. |
| gradea10-16-05, 12:47 AM | Theres no offical one that i know of, but there is an unoffical one PS, krug, 25 spoiler tags were not neccisary :P |
| Saros10-16-05, 12:57 AM | There's a good one here: http://www.dndadventure.com/dnda_classes.html The link is labeled Class Construction Engine. It only covers things in the PHB, but you can easily extrapolate anything else. |

I can't get those :( Are you able to send me the program by e-mail ?? There's a good one here: http://www.dndadventure.com/dnda_classes.html The link is labeled Class Construction Engine. I am not saying I can't convert it to 3.5 w/little difficulty, but the points assigned are VERY arbitrary. Also, I found errors in the calculation of points for the core classes by the author's own rules ?? For example, the Bard gets 70 points for Arcane spells and the formula is 2x the number of spells cast/day at 20th level. Well that is 28x2 both in 3.0 and 3.5 which would equal 56 ?? |
| Krug_the_smasher10-16-05, 04:46 PM | the one at that website is close to what i have, but the one i have includes an excell file the adds together all the points automatically. it is much easier, so if you PM your email to me or something, i can get it to you ASAP. |
