| Nat_2003-07-07, 01:42 PM | im kind of new to the fourms, started today, but i was just wondering if hideous blow gives any attacks of opportunity? If so, is there any feats to cancel that? I dont remember where it states it but i know you cant do more STR damage than dice number (1D6 + 6 dmg) but can you go over the limit with the swashbucklers ability to do INT damage? Like if a use a daggar and have a 20 int thus making it 1D4 + 5? Thanks |

However, note that you can use a spell-like ability (such as an invocation) defensively -- read the Concentration skill. If you can make a DC 16 Concentration check (15+the level of the invocation, which is 1st for Hideous Blow), you don't provoke attacks of opportunity for it. If you fail the check, you waste your action, though. If my barbarian has a Strength of 18 and rages (raising it to 22), he could deal 1d4+6 damage with a dagger. If it's a +1 dagger, he could deal 1d4+7. Simply put, there's no such rule.ThanksNo problem. |
