| Archmage_of_Blood12-22-06, 06:30 PM | Okay, one of my groups is starting a new game. My brother however cannot decide on a class. So far our party consists of: Human Abjurer (Me), A gnome Ranger, a dwarf Cleric, and an Elf Binder. What would you suggest to fill in the last slot? |
| Seerow12-22-06, 06:32 PM | I'd suggest a rogue of some sort. However you have the Ranger who can pass as a skill monkey, he just won't be the best traps guy, so really, just about whatever your brother thinks sounds interesting will work. You have all the bases covered (Though a better tank than a Ranger might be appreciated. Especially if the Ranger is focusing on Archery. But then, the Cleric can do that...) |

I'd go with a traditional thief, heavy on the Cha skills and stealth. As for combat style, I'd stick with whatever the Ranger isn't going with. I've always liked picking my class last, by the way. It's nice to try to fill in the gaps, and you always get a stronger party from a conscientious choice. |

| Salla12-22-06, 08:44 PM | I don't know what a Binder does, but I'd recommend a trapfinder and general sneak ... which adds up to Rogue, Scout, or Ninja, depending on his personal preference in abilities and flavor. |

If not, Rogue, Scout, and Ninja are good choices. A Spellthief makes a good skill monkey, and also has spellcasting abilities to boot. You could Play around with a Dragon Shaman or Marshal. Then again a Warlock is welcome in almost any party. |

| Votan12-22-06, 10:33 PM | How about a high Intelligence cleric with the Kobold Domain for trapfinding? |
| Manyfist12-22-06, 10:44 PM | A Druid. Thats what the party needs, it needs a Druid. Why? Because they get to turn into animals (Tank), Can cast while in Animal form (A feat), Summon and Heal. They don't really need physical stats (except for a ok Con school) because you can turn into animals. Edit: If you have access to Eberron, an Artificer could work. Magic supplies are always in need. |
