11-16-04, 02:06 PM I'm looking for a class (WotC sources only please) which has the following properties:
Bluff as a class skill.
+2 Fort at first level
A caster level at first level (doesn't matter what kind of caster)

This is sort of for a build but basicly I'm just flustered that I can't find any other class than Cleric (Domain: Trickery) that could actually do this. I'm just looking for a little help

11-16-04, 02:23 PM Good luck finding that. Its a rather odd combination. Bluff as a class skill is limited to sorcerer, rogue and bard - which either have good Ref or Will saves. Good Fort save is something warrior types have (fighter, ranger, paladin). And caster level at first is obvious.

Honestly, I don't think there is anything to meet all those criteria. I'd suggest Sorcerer with Great Fortitude for a feat.

11-16-04, 02:26 PM What about multiclassing?

There doesn't seem to be any such class otherwise (perhaps a combination of two wishes, but not all three...)

My goal is to use 1 class-level, get a caster-level (of anything), make bluff a class skill, and get +2 Fort save. I realize that in general +2 Fort and Bluff as a class skill are mutually exclusive. I was kind of hoping to find a class where that wasn't the case. I wanted to check out Warlock when i got home but i read on another thread that he gets a bad Fort save . . . I'm still open to suggestions though if anyone can think of one.

As far as I know there is no such class. Maybe using Unearthed Arcana?

Oh well, I may have to do the multiclass thing. I'm thinking Rogue for level 1 (to maximize skill points) and then one of the MANY classes that give +2 Fort. It doesn't let me get to Ur-Priest as fast as I would like but it would work a lot better for my story. Ah, the things I do to have a non-cookie-cutter character...
