Dragoons are Dragon Knights - the people who could control Dragons.
Their strong power grown from insanity. In spite of the fact, they were
Humans, the seven heroes who led the Dragon Campaign to the victory
11000
years ago, crossed the sky and cast spells. After they fulfilled their
roles, they vanished with the Dragoon Spirits as if it were some
unavoidable fate. Dragoons, they only appear when the legend needs
them...

When this planet was first born, there was nothing on the earth. It
was covered by darkness. At the large darkness, creator Soa dropped a
seed on the ground which has grown to be the Divine Tree. It was all
Creator Soa's plan. The Divine Tree quickly becomes greater and have had
fruits. Each fruit is a species. When a fruit dropped, it was a new
life,
a new creature :

Dragon

The second most powerful species of all 107 creatures given life by
the Divine Tree. Their attacks and life power over helm others, however,
the creator Soa created a balance by reducing the Dragon's intelligence.
There fore, they were to be controlled by Humans with their wisdom.
During the Dragon Campaign 11000 years ago, they had fierce battle
against Virage manipulated by Winglies and couldn't avoid being
annihilated

The 7 Dragoons have thier own seperate elements: Earth , Wind , Fire , Water , Thunder , Darkness , and Light.
Be careful when chosing your element for your character for each element has its opposite. They follow: Earth-Wind , Fire-Water , Wind Earth , Water-Fire , Darkness-Light but only 1 element doesn't have an opposite. That is the element thunder.
You can only use this class if you have been chosen by the dragoon spirit. Each Element has its own requirements. Also each Element of the 7 dragoon knights give a significant boost in a certian stat.
Note: The dragoon spirit can't be bought. It must be earned. It can only be earned by fuffuling the requirements listed. Also note that you cannot have more than one dragoon spirtit. When chosen by the dragoon spirtit you wish to own you start out at Dlv1. In order for you to lv up in Dragoon Lv you must lv up 10 lvs to make the next Dragoon lv.
If you fufill the requirements of any of the elements you are automatically chosen by the element you completed. In order to transform into a dragoon you must generate spirit points.
The table displays the max SP ( Spirit points) for each lv.

First lv:100
Second lv:200
Thirdlv:300
Fourth:400
Fifth: 500

To generate SP you must attack your enemy. When you roll damage and hit you roll agian. You roll 1d20+Damage caused (example: 1d20+5) When you reach atleast 100 SP you have the option to turn into a dragoon. If you chose to do so. You must go by the effects of the elemental dragoon you are turning into.

The requirements for the Dragoon Element Fire follow:

Note: That I know some of these spells are cheesy but I'm trying to get them as close to the actual game as I can. I'm still working on the other elements so dont worry. I want your opinion on this class so far! Not as the whole thing. I probally wont be able to fit all the elements on one post it would be too long. It might take you awhile to be able to use this class but its worth it!

When you change back from being a dragoon the effects of the dragoon of your element are automaticly taken off. So beware!!! BUT if you transform into a dragoon those effects are put back in effect.
Say you are in dragoon form right? Every turn you are in dragoon form you lose 10 SP. You keep losing sp until you run out. then you change back into human. Note: That you can change back into human anytime as long as you have some SP.

Where do I even begin...this is quite a poorly done class. :nonono:

In fact, this isn't even really a class.

The way you did this is almost completely incompatible with d20. It is next to unplayable in the system.
Very poorly formatted. Everything that needs to be bolded or italicized should be.

Not very convincing flavor text.

*You must have a strength of 20 or more

Ability score preresquisites are officially bad ideas

*Must know atleast 2 lv3 Arcane Spells

Why? Dart didn't know any spells at all.

*Must defeat one PC or Monster with an Alignment of Evil.

Lol, what a tough prerequisite

*Must have a Fortitude of +4 or higher

*Must have a will of +6 or higher

Decent enough, except that good saveing throw requirements are base saves, rather than actual. You didn't outline it, but if it is base save, the Will prerequisite is impossible for a fighter until near-epic.

* Hp : 1d6+2 (You add this to your current HP)

What the hell? Make this a HD (d10 I'd imagine).

*Stength: +4

*Dexterity: -1

*Constitution: +2

*Intellegence: No effect

Again, what the heck? At what level? Why no natural armor? Why no save progressions? Why no BaB progressions?

"Longswords, greatswords and....yeah!" Thanks for playing, try harder next time...

Extremely cheesy indeed, and probably not even remotely balanced (with your awkward, basically undefined or unexplained system of SP).

The worst part, I think, is that you would need a seperate one for each dragoon type. Is this not rediculous?

I think that a dragoon PrC is nicely workable, but this is plain terrible (it isn't even a matter of how good a class this is, because it isn't even really a class with levels).

Try working off of this template, which well represents the dragoons from LoD:

Creating A Dragoon

"Dragoon" is an inherited or acquired template that can be added to any living, corporeal creature with an Intelligence and Charisma score of 6 or higher (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

A dragoon uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Size and Type: The creature’s type changes to native outsider during transformation, with the appropriate subtype (such as [fire] or [darkness]) as well. Do not recalculate the creature’s Hit Dice, base attack bonus, or saves. Size is unchanged.

Speed: While in transformation, a dragoon has wings and can fly at twice the base creature’s base land speed (good maneuverability). If the base creature has a fly speed, use that instead.

Armor Class: While in transformation, natural armor improves by +5 plus an amount equal to the creature's HD (this stacks with any natural armor bonus the base creature has). So for example a 10th-level dragoon gains a +15 natural armor bonus when transformed.

Special Attacks: A dragoon retains all the special attacks of the base creature and also gains the following special abilities.

Dragoon Rush (Su): Once each time she is transformed, a dragoon may deal a devestating onslaught to a single target. This ability is equivelant to a monk's flurry of blows, with her character level considered the monk level for the effect of the attack. An additional amount of divine damage (which cannot be resisted) equal to the dragoon's character level + Charisma modifier + base attack bonus is also dealt during the dragoon rush.

Summon the Dragon (Su): When she has 20 total Hit Dice, a dragoon is able to summon a great wyrm dragon of her choice for a number of rounds equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 1). She chooses a single type of true dragon (normally one that best corresponds to her chosen type) and can not change the type later. The dragon summoned shares the summoner's alignment.

Transformation (Su): Once per day for every 5 HD the creature possesses, the dragoon may transform into a perfected form that flows and radiates with the might of the dragon. She chooses one elemental dragon type from the following list when she first has the template and cannot change it later: air, water, fire, earth, cold, lightning, light, or darkness. The transformation lasts a number of rounds equal to 1/2 the dragoon's level plus her Charisma modifier (minimum 1).

Spell-Like Abilities: A dragoon with a Wisdom or Charisma score of 8 or higher has one or more spell-like abilities, depending on its Hit Dice, as indicated on the table below. The abilities are cumulative. They can only be used when transformed.

HD Abilities
1-2 1st-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
3-4 2nd-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
5-6 3rd-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
7-8 4th-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
9-10 5th-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
11-12 6th-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
13-14 7th-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
15-16 8th-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type
17-20 9th-level ability corresponding to dragoon's type

The following is an example list, for an air-type dragoon:

HD Abilities
1-2 Obscuring mist
3-4 Wind wall
5-6 Gust of wind
7-8 Air walk
9-10 Control winds
11-12 Wind walk
13-14 Control weather
15-16 Whirlwind
17-20 Whirlwind, greater (Complete Divine)

An ability is usable three times once per day. Caster level equals the creature’s HD, and the save DC is Charisma-based.

Special Qualities: A dragoon has all the special qualities of the base creature, plus the following special qualities.

* Darkvision out to 60 feet.
* Resistance to acid 10, plus during transformation: resistance 20 to the character's chosen elemental type. Acid 20 resistance if it is air, cold 20 if it is water or ice, light-based effects 20 if it is light, darkness-based effects 20 if it is darkness, and DR 5/- if it is earth.
* Damage reduction: 5/magic (if HD 11 or less) or 10/magic (if HD 12 or more). During transformation, DR/magic is considered 5 points higher.
* A dragoon’s natural weapons are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
* Spell resistance equal to creature’s HD + 10 (maximum 35). The spell resistance (and the maximum) raises by 10 when transformed.
* +4 racial bonus on Fortitude saves against poison.

Abilities: Increase from the base creature as follows: Str +2, Dex +2, Con +2, Wis +2, Cha +4.

When transformed, the ability increases are as follows: Str +4, Dex +2, Con +4, Int +2, Wis +4, Cha +6.

Skills: A dragoon gains skill points as an outsider and has skill points equal to (8 + Int modifier) × (HD +3). Do not include Hit Dice from class levels in this calculation—the dragoon gains outsider skill points only for its racial Hit Dice, and gains the normal amount of skill points for its class levels. Treat skills from the base creature’s list as class skills, and other skills as cross-class.

Challenge Rating: HD 5 or less, as base creature +1; HD 6 to 10, as base creature +2; HD 11 or more, as base creature +3.

Alignment: Any.

Level Adjustment: Same as base creature +4.

P.S. I apoligize if I am too hard on you. Perhaps you are new to the game and have little experience (though in that case, you really have no business designing a full set of classes).

Do you read at all. I did tell you when you can use these spells. ITS WHEN YOU ARE IN DRAGOON FORM! I also told you I'm not completly finsihed with it yet! If you would actually read. I also said when they can transform! I have 3 simple words to say to you : READ READ READ!
I apologize for any of the yelling , but people you need to read the whole thing!!!!

Yes, I did read. I always try to be as observant as possible because it allows me to be the most helpful. But I can honestly say that with the way everything is formatted, it is very hard for me to decipher the specifics about when you can transform, and how.

I did tell you when you can transform.

Thanks for clearing that up, because it was a little tough to understand from the haphazardness of the whole. It still doesn't change the fact that this is a bad class (or even a class), it is more like a template, really. Well, it tries.

Well you dont have to be such a spoiled sport about it. This is my first time making a class. I'm no expert at making them. So try to be nice. As I stated previously I'm making major changes to this class (or template) and I'm adding more elements. I'm trying to get this class as close as to the game as possible. The dragoons wont recieve any special feats or anything like that cause' in the game The Legend of Dragoon the dragoons didn't have stuff like that.
The dragoons may recieve bounus on skills and some other things. That depends on what class you are talking about. I'm also trying to get the spells as close to the game as possible. So you cant critize! Now if you will excuse me Mr.spoiled sport I'm off to make some changes to this class. (Yes I said it CLASS!)

Worst "class" I have ever seen.

Someone who never heard of D20 would probably make something that fits better into the system.

Well, then I certainly wish you the very best luck. ;)

As I stated previously I'm making major changes to this class (or template) and I'm adding more elements.

I would probably make sure, if I were you, to know whether you were designing a class or template before going ahead. (or is this a prestige class)

I'm trying to get this class as close as to the game as possible. The dragoons wont recieve any special feats or anything like that cause' in the game The Legend of Dragoon the dragoons didn't have stuff like that.

But this is not Legend of Dragoon, but the d20 system you are working in. Good process is to use as much of the existing d20 system as possible and recycle whenever the original "feel" is kept. Or else you have some monstrous half-breed. I think I have done this well with the dragoon template, which is also one-size-fits-all.

I'm also trying to get the spells as close to the game as possible. So you cant critize!

Well, I believe that criticism is called for, because with my single template you have a decent approximation of pretty much everything (rather than making it work exactly like it did in LoD, which means you aren't using the same system). It is about converting elements of LoD to the d20 system as well as possible, rather than the other way around!

Now if you will excuse me Mr.spoiled sport I'm off to make some changes to this class. (Yes I said it CLASS!)

I would love to see a much revised version of this class. Good luck and ask me if you have any problems working with the system. :)

If you dont want criticism, constructive or otherwise, don't post your template/class. On a related note, dont post half done work and then get defensive when people tell you it's bad or that it isnt complete.

As a fan of the game, I am anxious to see what you can do. I'd like to see a viable dragoon PrC (that isnt a final fantasy jump-tard.. seriously.. just side step...game over for the 'goon. ;) )
