I'm slowly putting together a D&D campaign set in MtG's Homelands (AKA Ulgrotha) and need thoughts on how to do classes and PrCs. Here are the types of classes found in this particular world.

In the Sengirian villages:

Royal Hunter: Rangers from the Sengirian villages who serve the Baron by roaming the Great Wood in search of the Autumn Willow, the Baron's greatest foe.

Autocrat: The Baron looks upon the serfs who inhabit his land as sheep. The autocrats, then, are the sheepdogs- mere animals themselves, but with a talent for keeping the others in line.

In the city-state of Aysen:

Abbey Matrons: The stereotypical stern nun, but with police authority.

Aysen Bureaucrats: Basically city council members, they travel from Aysen to the capital city of Onella each trimester to discuss important issues.

Serra Paladins: Ummm, paladins of Serra. 'nuff said. Only question is what domains to grant.

Serra Inquisitors: Officials in the Church of Serra who root out heresy. Could possibly use the Church Inquisitor from CDiv.

Death Speakers: Clerics who specialize in divination and speaking with the dead. Somewhat reviled by the other inhabitants of Aysen, who fear their secrets are not safe when the dead don't remain silent.

In An-Havva and the Great Wood:

An-Havva Guardians: Basically a local constabulary, led by the Constable (natch,) a man named Joskun. Said to be passionate, if not graceful.

Beast Walkers: Wildshaping humans and worshippers of Serra who protect caravans on the Lady's Path.

Faerie Nobles: Guard the River Bridge in the Great Wood. Anyone attempting to cross without the Autumn Willow's permission is set upon by the Nobles and pushed into the river below.

Willow Priestesses: Druidic Faeries who protect the other Faeries of the Great Wood.

In the Koskun Mountains:

*In Koskun Keep:

Pit Fighters: Primarily humans and outcast Anaba minotaurs who fight for glory and prizes.

Bodyguards: Koskun Keep is a den of scum and villainy. Those with the coin hire bodyguards to watch their backs. But who keeps an eye on the bodyguards?

Goblin Wizards: Prone to engage in reckless duels with the wizards of the Floating Isle.

Thieves: And lots of 'em. Humans, orcs and goblins for the most part.

Assassins: The reason people hire bodyguards.

*In Kher Ridge:

Anaba Shamans: Primarily females, the Anaba Shamans use nature magic to defend their home by calling down lightning. They also serve as religious leaders and speak with nature spirits.

Anaba Spiritcrafters: A primarily male sect of the Anaba Shamans, the Spiritcrafters have access to divination rituals and can speak with ghosts. They consult with the spirits of their ancestors and can even become possessed by them in battle. Seem to have access to limited resurrection abilities.

All Anaba are minotaurs, however, they are not the dumb brutes portrayed in standard D&D, nor are they evil.

*In the fortress of Strongrock:

Dwarven Traders: Descendants of the dwarves of New Freedom who decided to settle in the mountains after Baron Sengir ousted them from their original home. Dislike the seafaring dwarves of the Floating Isle, but are not openly hostile to them.

On the Floating Isle:

Wizard Savants: Students at the Wizards' School.

Wizard Attendants: Instructors at the Wizards' School.

Wizard Savants: Dwarven student of magic on the Floating Isle.

Dwarven Sailors: Those dwarves on the Isle who don't attend the Wizards' School live in the town of Port, the island's only, well, port. Port is accessible only through a narrow channel in a coral reef that surrounds the island.

Reef Pirates: Zeki the dwarf sails with a crew of undead pirates, preying on those who pass through the channel on their way to/from Port. Why an undead crew? They don't demand a share of the treasure, that's why!

That's really cool. I used to play MtG all the time and even though I started with Tempest, I have seen enough of the Homelands cards to say that your writeup looks like it would be fun to play. Someone should do this for all the MtG card sets (or at least through Mercadian Masques when I stopped playing :D ).
