Okay - I have a Cleric of Weejas (5) / Necromancer (3). One of the schools I dropped fro the necromancer was Illusion; now I have found a wand of invisibility. As a necromancer I can't use it, which I understand. But the Magic domain gives me the ability to use arcane items as if I was a 2nd level wizard... so can I use the wand or not?

Cheers,
Wulfric

I would say yes, since the ability stems from your cleric class; it would be like having levels in Sorcerer. However, you would be limited to half your cleric levels at all times when using items banned by your school specialization, instead of adding them together.

Music to my ears. My favorite character to date was a
Cleric of Weejas3/Necromancer3/MysticTheurge2/TrueNecromancer4

He was a Grey Elf with a deliciously dark personality. Yet, being Lawful Evil, he was the party's moral guide (scary when I think about it). Then again he emphasized his wish for order--everything in its place. In retrospect I guess he was more of a Shaman in manner. He only used the undead as servants when the desire arose, then dismissed them to enjoy eternal peace.

On the other hand he did torture one or two souls who crossed him... I know of at least one player who wasn't happy to lose their paladin, but it was him or a phylactery. ^_^

I too forbid myself from Illusion--and Enchantment come to think of it. But like they said, the Magic domain will come in handy. On a side note, the Unearthed Arcana variant on a Necromancer's familiar is VERY nice IMO.

Totally off topic, but did you know my car is named after you, Lina? lol

My Cleric of Wee jass is Lawful Neutral, and hates elves, absolutly hates them (They kick him out of Lendore Isle and now he's got a personal Vendatta against all elves), he's not a Necromancer yet, but her's more a dark priest than a Cleric (well duh) tortures prisoners, has a certain dislike of adventurers (they tend to rob tombs, despite the fact he is one). He collects spellbooks and spells but does not wish to become a Wizard, he just likes to work with them and likes them better than the rest of the party.

Just shows how different two clerics of the same diety can be different, but yeah, only has 1/2 cleric levels/
