Cleric Aura and Spell Question... [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-13-04, 10:05 PM Ok, so i have a CN dwarven cleroc of Hanseath(from races of the stone). THe aura i have is chaotic, which means i cant cast lawfull spells. I also picked to turn dead, instead of command them.
I know i cant cast lawfull spells, but can i cast evil spells? Im wondering since i picked to turn undead instead of command, would it be possible (without killing my alignment/needing to be atoned) for me to use animate dead to command them?

For some reason the search thing wasnt working for me, so any help would be awsome. THanks.

10-13-04, 11:29 PM well, you're channeling positive energy. that would suggest some kind of bend towards good. but hey, just because you cast an evil spell doesn't mean you're evil, right? (this has been discussed so many times before, hehe...)

apparently, your DM hasn't restricted your spell selection... how does that god feel about evil spells?

10-13-04, 11:52 PM thats what im not to sure about, atm, i have limited info on Hanseath(dont have access to the book atm).

I was asking to get an idea, before i asked my DM, so i might have some idea of what im saying.

ANd i havent been told of any spell restrictions(i joined a group that was already in progress).
