How would a cleric go about changing deities? For example, if a good cleric worshipping a good deity wanted to change alignment and deities, or maybe change alignment and reject deities, or keep his alignment but reject a deity, what would happen to his spells? Would he need to recieve atonement from a cleric of his new alignment/deity?

This is one of the main reasons Atonement exists as a spell.

So, abandon/renounce your old god, or offend him so much that he withdraws. Then find a temple of the new one, and Atone. This will likely require a quest. Done.

As for spells, they remain the same. He's still a cleric.

The only twitchy bits come from domains and the case of Turn Undead. The rules are unclear whether domains change (I think they should) and what happens to your turning/spontaneous cures (I think they should change). Others have problems with this and say that only the domains change, or the like... which causes problems if, say, a Neutral or Evil cleric Atones and worships, say, St. Cuthbert. Even without the alignment change, does this mean that your channeling changes?

This last point is up to your DM. The rest is covered by the rules.
