| [GSV] Kirstar04-01-04, 03:15 AM | In oour campaign we play the following house rule. Cleric (etc) may swap out their prepared spell for any spell in their domains. Only clerics with the healing domain for example may swap out their spells for healing spells... We thought it added more flavour to priests why shouls a cuthbert priest with strength and destruction domains be able to swap spells out for healing. when in my campaign they swap them out for strength and destruction spells comments ? |

The only problem it may have that instead of having a single spell to cast they now get a choice of 2 spells to cast. Clerics are already rather strong, I think this may be a bit much at this point in time. However do they lose the domain slot? They may/may not balance it out. |
| Thermanshs04-01-04, 03:44 AM | SORRY but I find it a TERRIBLE and greatly unbalancing idea.... Many domains step in other casters' territory(wizard/sorcerer/druid) so having free access to those spells even more than once per day sets the cleric even more overpowered |

Like if domain spells and other details where different. |

| Thermanshs04-01-04, 04:22 AM | Bah! The modifications will be minor and their purpose is just to make some Clerics more reasonably built while adding flavor to each one's role, As for what you did expect from me try telling me on private |
| [GSV] Kirstar04-01-04, 09:20 AM | they do lose the domain slot as well. the idea behind it was to turn priests from walking first aid kits into representitives of their domains. also with my god (i only have 3) I have orders and factions within each priest hood that are restricted to certain domains. For example. One of my gods Solon God of the sun and law. Now all factions / orders in that worship this god have Sun & Law as domains. I dont see it a problem that they can swap out their spells for sun & law domains spells. |
| Xeviat-DM04-01-04, 04:09 PM | They do loose that extra spell a day. That, and non healing domain clerics will be forced/coerced/advised to prepare quite a large number of healing spells, meaning that their domain spells will practically be their only tricks. |
