For spellcasting (determining bonus spells and DCs), the character uses his or her Wisdom score plus his or her Insanity score in place of Wisdom alone. For all other purposes, such as skills and saves, use Wisdom minus Insanity in place of Wisdom. Once per day, the character can see and act with the clarity of true madness. Use the character’s Insanity score as a positive rather than a negative modifier on a single roll involving Wisdom. Choose to use this power before the roll is made. Can some one tell me how this works. Human Cleric 3 with a 16 Wis What is my Wis score for: Saves: DC for spells: Skills: Wisdom check: Misc: I am not to sure on how this works so if you could help it would be great |
| Hochi-min trail07-25-05, 04:23 AM | Well, this is how it goes: you use the insanity score and wisdom score, not the modifier, so not a lot changes all in all: saves: 16-1 = 15 = +2. skills: 16-1 = 15 = +2. DC's: 16+1 = 17 = +3. bonus spells: 16+1 = 17 = +3. so, you gain bonus spells per day as if you had a wisdom score of 17, and the DC's to your spells are calculated as if you had a wisdom score of 17 as well. This could be really nice in high level. horrible will save, but your DC's can go to even: 10 + 12 (high wisdom) + 10 (half of 20 levels) + 9 (spell) = 41 - that's nice. i need to rememeber this trick. P.S - i'm not sure about wisdom checks, but i think you need to substract your insanity score from your wisdom, since it did say "For all other purposes..." |
