Ok, I know that Clerics spend an hour or so per day in meditation to get their spells, and they can cast any spell on their spell list without needing it in a spellbook or anything like that.

However, I'm kinda confused on how many spells a Cleric can actually prepare. When I meditate, do I gain every spell on the list (provided I can cast spells of that level)? Or do I have to designate which spells I want? If so, how many can I get? I know you pick one of the two domain spells to prepare, but I'm more concerned on how it works with universal Cleric spells.

have a look at the cleric section in the PHB, it lists your spell slots per day for each level, and don't forget to add bonus spells for a high wisdom.

I know how many I can cast per day, I just need to know how many I can have access to per day.

You can memorize ANY* from the cleric spell list provided you have access to that spell level, with a number equal to that listed on the Spells Per Day table, plus any bonuses from Wisdom. You may also memorize ONE spell per level from one of your two domains.

*Except those that are forbidden by alignment. i.e. a Good priest, or priest of a Good deity, cannot memorize spells with the Evil descriptor.

each spell that you can cast becomes a certain spell when you memorize. so forexample if you get three first level spells and two second level spells you could memorize cause fear three times and lesser restoration twice. you memorize as many spells as you can cast and when you cast them you don't have them anymore. then any spell can be sacrificed for a healing spell when cast.
