| Toffstier01-07-05, 04:46 PM | How do you handle Expansion Books and new cleric spells therein in your games? Our DM and I (the party wizard) are a wondering about how, with every expansion we include (almost all we get), the cleric automatically gains more and more power and flexibility. Gaining Flexibility is not really the problem, only that he gets it automatically. The DM is thinking of some way of limiting his spell list, along a line like this: -The cleric only has free access to the PHB-Cleric spell list -He has to research the other spells just like a wizard has to research his, though clerics usually have a much worse Spellcraft skill this might be unfair. -As we play in FR, maybe we would temporarily allow some spells, depending the region we're playing in and the new spells for that region (like allowing the Shining South Spells when in the Desert etc.) Do you think this is about the way it is intended? How does your DM handle this? |
