| Thrawn18306-15-07, 01:57 PM | 1a) If a character uses cleric at some point to gain entry into the Chameleon PrC (or ends up taking a level of cleric at any point really) is it possible for that character to convert the spells prepared with the divine focus to cure/inflict spells? 1b) If it is possible for a character to do this with the spells prepared using the divine focus, would it also be possible to do so with the spells prepared using the arcane focus? 2a) Can a good aligned Chameleon cast sanctified spells? 2b) Can a good aligned Chameleon with cleric levels spontaneously convert chameleon spells into sanctified spells? I've just finished reading the entire Chameleon thread on the CO board and I thought this issue could use some clarification as I was unable to find a consensus as to whether or not Chameleon spells are actually... spells. At the same time, these seemed more like a rules questions than optimization ones (though the answers could definitely impact how characters produced there are designed) so I am putting it here. Don't feel any need to rush this, I'm not operating on any sort of timeline. This is for the purpose of general edification. And, Thank you!:D |
| Muktar06-15-07, 02:10 PM | 1a) No, for the reason is that a cleric can convert only the spells he gets as a cleric into healing/inflicting 1b) If it requires a divine focus, it requires a divine focus. 2a) Yes [edit] You need to have an exalted feat first though. 2b) No, you must prepare sanctified spells. You cannot spontaneously convert spells to sanctified (without some extra happening) usually. |
