cleric/rogue?? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-15-07, 10:14 AM I have seen that there are a lot of prestige classes to make an interesting fighter/arcane caster, or a arcane caster/divine caster, or rogue/arcane caster... but there's absolutely nothing for a rogue/cleric. I have never heard of a prestige class that put together things like sneack attack and "+1 to an existing divine caster class", and possibly enclose the chance to improve "turn undead" or domain powers... maybe I haven't seen the right manuals... but I think that this kind of prestige class doesn't exist, and if it exists, it is too rare and/or limited to halflings and elves... there should be a few less fighter/casters and a much more rogue/divine caster... so we will finally see a character with a lot of bonuses when is searching for hidden enemies...

08-15-07, 10:44 AM Well, there are the shadowbane stalker, black flame zealot, darkmask of Vhaeraun (Lords of Darkness), iirc strifeleader of Cyric (Faiths and Pantheons)... they are rare, but not exactly absent. I do not remember any that gives turn progression, though... IIRC the stalker may, but I don't think it does, either.

08-15-07, 10:52 AM Yeah, the Black Flame Zealot looks like a really fun class to play, both in the RP flavor, and in all the nifty abilities. And yes, you do get the coveted +d6s to sneak attack and the + caster levels.

Although, it forces you to use Kukris, which are kind of awkward.

08-15-07, 10:57 AM Divine seeker is a rogue that works for a cult, but does not require or advance clerical powers. As for the BFZ, kukri are decent weapons if you go for TWF, but clerics seldom have feats to spare. 1/2 progression is a little poor, though - do not think that you can be the party's main divine caster if you go that way.

BTW, isn't it a little surprising that all except the Shadowbane stalker are actually related to FR deities? The zealot originally appeared in Unapproachable East, and is related to the cult of Kossuth.
