I'm going for a true necromancer (kind of like a mystic theruge), and I dropped abjuration and enchantment as wizard schools to specialize in necromancy.

Wee Jas is my Goddess, so my domains for my cleric are death and magic.

Magic domain
Granted powers: Use scrolls, wands, and other devices with spell completion or spell trigger activation as a wizard of one-half your cleric level (at least 1st level). For the purpose of using a scroll or other magic device, if you are also a wizard, actual wizard levels and these effective wizard levels stack.

Will this domain allow my build to use scrolls and wands from my prohibited schools? From what I am getting from it, prohibited schools would be at 1/2 my cleric level, and other schools would be at 1/2cleric+wizard levels?

Or am I just confused?

Exactly! Well, up until you start levels in True Necro. True Necro levels only increase your casting ability, so your domain abilities won't improve any.

Thanks.

So, with practiced spellcaster (+4 to caster level, up to hit die), the domain would peak at level 6 (or 3rd level spells), before I go into True Necromancer? (wiz3/cleric3/TNx)

No. Practiced Spellcaster increases your caster level, not your cleric level.
