| LLMadCow07-23-04, 10:42 PM | What are we going to do during the formus upgrades? I really think we need to make careful decisions on how we want to progress. We should avoid anything that we want to be able to save. Understand that any important discussions need to be saved offline. We need some organizational skills to keep from botching this and losing information. Fights could be run, and the results posted, but the results would have to be re-posted once the change over is finished. Just one of many things that need to be considered. |
| Druid Roxors07-23-04, 11:28 PM | Since we will not have forums active through the week of the 13 level unfreeze, we should consider delaying the pairings for the 3rd of August. Pitlords pitlording fights this week and next week should save their fights and be requested to repost them next month. All Players are expected to save their characters offline and update them next month. |
| SnarkHunter07-23-04, 11:45 PM | Perhaps Elders could be responsible for specific jurisdictions, and ensure that certain areas will be properly codiefied. Many things will not need to be conserved-inactive characters will remain inactive, and so will be returned much as they were previously. Its worth noting though that if the pairings for next week are made on the 28th of July, then we'll still have oppurational boards, that will be conserved up until the next Tuesday, August 3rd. If we make a real effort to finish fights in a timly manner I think we could have all the characters active we would like to be active. |
| Caterane07-24-04, 01:00 AM | Aug 3 is a tuesday, right? I'd suggest that every pitlord saves his fight on a word document, and reposts it as soon as the new board is online. The fights have to be linked so we have to keep them. Every other data is secondary. |
| Hatzinger07-24-04, 04:45 AM | Or we could just adjourn the COCO for one week-cycle. With this solution, there are the least problems. No arguments break out and the transition will be smooth. |
| Tellish_of_Ket07-25-04, 01:46 AM | No need to postpone anything really. We could make it a two-week pairing. That way the 13's will have a bit of extra time to draw out their tactics and re-familiarize themselves with their characters. Pairings will be set at the usual time next week. However, tactics wouldn't be due until Monday, then the pitlords can run the fights throughout the week and post them when the board comes back up and running, with the late penalties applying as usual on the following Monday. Sounds good? I knew you'd agree. ;) -ToK |
| LLMadCow07-25-04, 01:51 AM | Well I, as well as a few others, are in a position of not being allowed to run. So, if the next pairings will be drawn out for two weeks, why not allow EVERYONE to have two characters fight for free and any character beyond those two costs credits/fights? Great idea, eh? See, normally I would have to choose. The way I see it, I'd love to see Mr. Big fight again, and I think I will be beaten severly if I do not have Clio fight this next week. |
